Senior Application Engineer

About this Position A Senior Application Engineer drives technical solutions for customers by recommending and customizing adhesive applications, supporting product trials, and resolving complex quality issues. The role involves investigating defects, conducting lab testing, and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure effective corrective actions. You will work closely with customers through technical visits, training, and process optimization to enhance performance. Additionally, this position contributes to project execution, technical reporting, and alignment with global teams. Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills are essential to succeed in this customer-facing technical role. What you´ll do Responsible for product recommendation, customized product applications, new product demonstration and troubleshooting for customers. Investigate and address product quality issues / customers complaints. Responsible for validating defects, verifying root cause and impact to performance, design /or perform lab testing. Collaborate with relevant parts of the organization to follow up progress on complaints and effectiveness of corrective actions. Recommends solution and perform technical visits (meeting, audits, trials, demonstrations, troubleshooting, etc.) for customers with documentation. Works with application equipment and support process optimization to provide solutions to enhance customer processes. Reports technical results and contributes to customer presentationsใ Works effectively on SBU and/or Regional specific projects. Contributes to project plans and helps the team to deliver project goals. Perform the laboratory work (incl. prioritization) from customer requests and report technical results to customers. Responsible for the lab equipment assigned, familiar with operating the equipment. Ensure regular maintenance and safety documentation in place. Project management and coordination on technical aspects of product application. Is responsible to work closely with global team and align on key projects and business priorities Responsible to conduct product application and/or technical training for customers and internal team Responsible for directly communicating with sales, marketing, PD, Innovation, members of Application Engineering team or project team members. Share knowledge and experiences with team members. Promotes internal SBU Innovations and best learning cross accounts. Respects and promotes the internal Henkel SHEQ rules.
