What Is The Opportunity?

Calgary Construction Operations is focused on hiring a talented GPS Surveyor for the 2026 Construction Season in Calgary, Alberta.

What You'll Do here:

• Uses survey equipment to perform grade for construction sites.
• perform work in a safe manner.
• Read, interpret, and explain constuction drawings and grade strakes to employees and Foreman.
• Inform equipment operators on the necessary grade requirements.
• Communicate with truck drivers to inform them of unlaoding stations.
• Inspects grades using variety of measures: boning rods, levels, string line, lasers, GPS, etc. 

What You Bring to the Team:

• Previous experience as a Gradesman/Surveyor in the road construction industry.
• Experience reading blueprints is required.
• Experience with Trimble and Topcon is an asset.
• Ability to operate construction equipment is an asset.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis and stand/walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to communicate with supervisors, co-workers, contractors and the general public in a courteous, professional manner at all times.
• Maintains a valid Class 5 driver’s license or better.
• Own vehicle to get to and from jobsite.
• Willing to work overtime, as required.
• Must comply with the company's drug & alcohol program, including testing requirement.
