Position Summary
The Setup Crew staff member is an on-call, per-event employee who will work in the areas of room sets and arena conversions at the Greenville Convention Center.
This role will pay an hourly rate of $17.00.
For Part-Time roles: Benefits: 401(k) savings plan and 401(k) matching.
This position will remain open until August 21, 2026.
Responsibilities
- Work in a manner that is safe and effective.
- Set up and tear down including risers, staging, basketball floor, chairs, tables, pipe and drape, and other items as needed for events at the facility.
- Handle folding chairs, stacking chairs, tables of various shapes and sizes, drapery, and skirting.
- Read and interpret paperwork regarding room set-ups.
- Responsible for properly cleaning and maintaining specific areas of the facility.
- Support all conversions as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
- Must have a demonstrated ability to function in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Experience in public facilities highly preferred.
- Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to lift heavy objects on a regular basis.
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including long hours, overnight, weekends, and holidays.
