Job Description
Provide mechanical engineering solutions for projects and problem resolution or enhancements for all mechanical building systems at the Chrysler Technology Center.
The Facilities Mechanical Engineer is responsible for:
- Assessing maintenance records and the mechanical condition of various mechanical/utility systems and equipment.
- Design and installation of mechanical systems including schematic design.
- Assist the consulting engineers in the creation of construction documents.
- Create long term capital improvement plans based on assessment results and develop work packages for building mechanical/utility systems.
- Provide technical direction for building mechanical/utility systems and provide studies and analysis for mechanical/utility building systems.
- Provide technical guidance to manufacturing facilities for energy efficiency, conservation, and optimization.
- Develop schedules and manage workloads for new programs requiring mechanical/utility building modifications.
- Improve building trade work force efficiency, cost effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.
- Review and enhance preventive maintenance procedures on mechanical system assets.
