Patient Care Assistant II (Oncology)

Department/ Hospital: Department of Oncology, United Christian Hospital
Pay: HK$19,764 to HK$24,701 per month
Up to 5% of total basic salary as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist Radiation Therapist during CT/MRI, planning and treatment procedures such as patient setup and basic intervention.
2. Assist therapist to provide moulding service including immobilization device / RT accessories fabrication and handling of clinical accessories before and after use.
3. Provide patient care services and education according to therapist instruction.
4. Assist therapist in dispensing and transport of radiopharmaceutical.
5. Perform daily disinfection, care and maintenance of medical equipment and instruments.
6. Perform inventory checking, data entry, filing and retrieval of documents.
7. Check and prepare medical consumables and equipment regularly.
8. Provide reception and clerical support for appointment booking and handle public enquiries.
9. Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Entry Requirements:
1. Completed F.5/S.5, or equivalent.
2. Completion of a recognized /in-service training program (See Remarks).
3. Good command of English and Chinese, written and spoken.

Preferable Attributes/exposure:
1. Possess recognized Health Care Assistant / Care Related Support Worker Certificate*
2. Knowledge of PC applications in MS Office, MS Excel and Chinese word processing.
3. Good interpersonal skills, responsible, able to work independently and self-motivated.
4. Experience in use of CMS and OPAS

2.Applicants who do not meet entry requirement (2), if find suitable, will be employed to undergo at least 6 months on-the-job training. Employment may be terminated if the selected applicant cannot pass the assessment after training.
