Patient Care Assistant II (Prosthetic & Orthotic)
Job Description
Department/Cluster: Prosthetic & Orthotic Department, Kowloon East Cluster
Pay: HK$19,764 - $24,701 per month
Up to 5% of total basic salary as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance.
Key Responsibilities:
The incumbent of the post would provide support to Prosthetic & Orthotic Department. The major duties include:
Prosthetic & Orthotic
1. Assist Prosthetist-Orthotist in providing prosthetic and orthotic treatment to patients
2. Perform workshop duties including cast preparation, fabrication of orthoses / prostheses, maintenance of equipment and treatment appliances
3. Assist Prosthetist-Orthotist in operating P&O CAD/CAM system and 3D printing system
4. Perform non-clinical patient support duties for the daily service of the department.
5. Carry out any duties as assigned by supervisors.
Entry Requirements:
1. Has completed F.5/S.5, or equivalent (See Remarks).
2. Completion of a recognized /in-service training program (See Remarks).
Preferred Attributes / Exposure:
1. Completion of appropriate training and possessed of working experience in metal work, wood work or sewing work
2. Able to read and understand English, fluency in Cantonese and written Chinese.
3. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Great adaptability / flexibility and able to handle multi-tasks.
5. Mature, caring and interest in people.

2. Serving staff with F.3/ S.3 standard and 2 years’ care-related work experience may also be considered. Candidates who have completed the JUMP program organized by Hospital Authority are considered to have attained F.3/S.3 level.
3. Applicants who do not meet entry requirements (2), if find suitable, will be employed to undergo at least 6 months' structured departmental training. Employment may be terminated if the selected applicant cannot pass the assessment after training.
