Role Overview
We are looking for a Technical Reviewer / Technical Lead to support engineering projects through detailed technical reviews, team guidance, and process improvements.
In this role, you will ensure the quality and accuracy of engineering drawings, mentor team members, and contribute to continuous improvement across project workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct technical review of Plot Plan, P&ID, and HAC drawings as per defined processes and provide actionable feedback
- Provide technical oversight, mentoring, clarifications, and issue resolution
- Create checklists and guidance documents to support successful workflow execution
- Capture lessons learned and conduct or support training sessions as required
- Support root cause analysis for improvement opportunities and provide action plans for the team
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports
- Support technical capability assessment of team members
- Assist in hiring by participating in technical interviews
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to optimize work allocation
- Identify and document ambiguities in a structured manner and communicate them to relevant stakeholders
- Participate in project meetings and provide technical input where required
Work Experience
Required Skills & Experience
- 9–12 years of experience in AutoCAD 2D drafting (P&ID, PFD, GAs, etc.)
- Familiarity with applicable national and international codes (ASME, ASTM, EURO, CSA, AS, etc.)
- Ability to work effectively in diverse teams
- Adaptability to new tools and technologies
- Strong problem-solving mindset and attention to detail
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field
- Proven experience as a Piping Engineer or similar role
- Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D and Plant 3D software
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
