About the Role
We are seeking a Sales Operations Analyst and Data Steward to support our Sales and RevOps organization by maintaining the quality, integrity, and consistency of our SalesForce CRM data. The ideal candidate will establish and oversee data governance practices, audit CRM records for accuracy, and partner with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable, actionable data is available for all revenue-related activities. This role requires strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Quality & Accuracy
- Conduct regular audits to identify duplicate or incomplete records and ensure data accuracy across all Salesforce objects.
- Implement data cleansing initiatives, including deduplication and enrichment processes, in partnership with SalesOps/RevOps and IT teams.
- Monitor data quality metrics and create dashboards/reports to track and communicate progress to stakeholders.
- Governance & Standardization
- Develop and maintain data governance policies, naming conventions, and usage guidelines for Salesforce.
- Collaborate with SalesOps/RevOps leadership to define data standards that align with business processes and requirements.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on data integrity best practices, ensuring compliance across the organization.
- Process Improvement & Administration
- Work closely with Salesforce Administrators and IT to optimize workflows, validation rules, and automation for data entry.
- Identify and recommend tools or integrations (e.g., enrichment platforms) to improve data hygiene and user productivity.
- Stay updated on Salesforce releases and new features, making recommendations to enhance data management capabilities.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Training
- Provide training and documentation to Sales team members on proper data entry and maintenance.
- Act as a liaison between Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and IT to resolve data-related issues and drive data alignment.
- Conduct workshops or “lunch-and-learn” sessions to reinforce data management best practices.
- Reporting & Analytics Support
- Ensure that data structures and governance policies support accurate reporting and analytics.
- Partner with SalesOps/RevOps analysts to validate and reconcile data for forecasting, pipeline management, and performance reporting.
Required Qualifications
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field; equivalent work experience will be considered.
- 2–4 years of experience in a data stewardship, data governance, CRM administration, or related role.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Salesforce (Sales Cloud) data models, custom objects, validation rules, and workflows.
- Experience with data hygiene and deduplication tools (e.g., TAMR, Traction, ZoomInfo).
- Basic knowledge of SQL or other data querying tools.
- Data Governance Expertise:
- Demonstrated ability to define and enforce data standards and governance policies.
- Familiarity with data quality metrics and best practices for data maintenance.
- Communication & Collaboration:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to advocate the importance of data quality to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proven track record of cross-functional collaboration, including training or guiding end users on data entry processes.
- Detail-Oriented & Analytical Mindset:
- High level of attention to detail to spot data discrepancies and inconsistencies.
- Proactive problem-solver with strong organizational and time-management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Salesforce Administrator certification or other relevant Salesforce certifications.
- Experience in a Sales/Revenue Operations environment.
- Background in project management, particularly around CRM or data initiatives.
- Experience with TAMR for account master data management.
- Experience with Traction Hierarchies for account hierarchy management.
- Experience with D&B Connect, ZoomInfo or other account data enrichment platforms.
