Job Description

Dave vs. Goliath. We’re Dave.

Dave is a financial app on a mission to build products that level the financial playing field. It is redefining the financial landscape by leveraging technology to create an affordable, transparent, and user-centric access to liquidity for millions of Americans. As a leading innovator in the U.S. financial services sector, Dave’s digital financial platform offers products designed to meet the credit needs of those underserved by traditional financial institutions. Dave’s offerings include its flagship ExtraCash product, providing members up to $500 in short-term advances within minutes. The company is on track to launch several new product offerings in 2026, including a Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) option.

Dave is focused on serving Americans who are financially vulnerable or living paycheck to paycheck. Dave is leading the charge in creating a new era of credit products that prioritizes speed, affordability, and accessibility, making it the go-to financial partner for those who need it most.

Who We Are

Dave is one of the leading U.S. neobanks and a pioneer in financial services, using technology to deliver accessible, transparent banking products to millions of members at a fraction of the cost of traditional banks. Our flagship product, ExtraCash, gives members access to up to $500 in short-term, interest-free advances within minutes of joining. By helping people avoid overdraft fees and access liquidity faster, we’re building products that create real financial progress for everyday consumers.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Lead Technical Program Manager to drive some of Dave’s most important cross-functional initiatives across product delivery, platform modernization, and operational scalability. This role sits at the center of Product, Engineering, Operations, Data, Risk, and Compliance — helping teams align around priorities, navigate complexity, and deliver meaningful outcomes for our members.

You’ll lead large-scale programs from concept through execution, balancing technical depth with strong operational judgment. Not everything is fully defined, and that’s part of the opportunity. You’ll help shape roadmaps, connect work across teams, and create the structure needed to move quickly while building systems that hold up over time.

What You’ll Build & Own

  • Lead complex, cross-functional programs spanning product launches, platform modernization, operational tooling, and strategic infrastructure initiatives.

  • Partner closely with Product and Engineering leaders to define roadmaps, sequence priorities, and make thoughtful trade-offs across features, scalability, and technical investments.

  • Coordinate execution across multiple engineering squads and partner teams, ensuring dependencies, ownership, and delivery milestones stay aligned.

  • Drive large-scale transformation initiatives involving process redesign, automation, system migrations, and third-party integrations.

  • Collaborate with teams across Security, Infrastructure, Legal, Compliance, Finance, Risk, Analytics, and Operations to deliver resilient, scalable solutions.

  • Manage delivery with external vendors and financial partners, proactively identifying risks and ensuring programs stay on track.

  • Improve how work gets done by strengthening Agile delivery practices, CI/CD processes, governance frameworks, and program reporting.

  • Provide clear, actionable communication to senior leadership on program health, risks, trade-offs, and execution progress.

  • Mentor TPMs and cross-functional partners, helping elevate delivery discipline and operational maturity across the organization.

The Impact

This role directly influences how quickly and effectively Dave can bring new capabilities to market while scaling responsibly. Your work will help improve the reliability, speed, and efficiency of the systems that power member experiences across our products.

What We’re Looking For

Experience & Technical Foundation

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or a related technical field.

  • 8–12+ years of experience, including significant experience leading large-scale, cross-functional technical programs in agile, high-growth environments.

  • Proven track record bringing products or platforms from concept through launch in partnership with Product, Engineering, and Operations teams.

  • Strong technical acumen across modern software systems, including mobile ecosystems, data pipelines, APIs, and platform infrastructure.

  • Experience leading transformation initiatives such as system migrations, process redesign, automation, or platform consolidation.

  • Experience managing external vendors and strategic partners across complex delivery programs.

  • Hands-on experience using dashboards, analytics, and experimentation frameworks to drive program decisions and measure outcomes.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical, operational, and regulatory complexity into clear business recommendations.

  • Experience influencing across organizations without direct authority and building alignment in evolving environments.

Bonus Points

  • Fintech experience across banking, payments, lending, or credit products.

  • Familiarity with LaunchDarkly, FullStory, Looker, Snowflake, and GCP.

  • Agile, SAFe, or Project Management certifications.

What Makes Someone Successful Here

You take ownership of outcomes, not just timelines. You understand how technical decisions connect to member experience, operational efficiency, and company growth. You ask thoughtful questions, navigate ambiguity with sound judgment, and balance short-term execution with long-term scalability. You care about building systems and processes that improve how teams work together over time.

You’re also highly collaborative. You know how to bring together teams with different priorities, communicate clearly through uncertainty, and build trust across technical and non-technical stakeholders. Feedback sharpens your thinking, and you create clarity without creating unnecessary process or friction.

What to Expect

Dave moves quickly, but thoughtfully. Priorities evolve as we learn from data, members, and the market. In this role, you’ll have meaningful autonomy, strong cross-functional partnership, and the opportunity to influence both strategy and execution across the company.

Why Join Dave

  • Build products that improve financial access for millions of members.

  • Work on high-impact initiatives with visibility across Product, Engineering, and executive leadership.

  • Help shape how Dave scales its platforms, systems, and operational capabilities.

  • Join a collaborative, high-performing culture focused on sustainable impact and continuous improvement.

  • Grow alongside a profitable, publicly traded fintech entering its next phase of scale.
