JOB SUMMARY
The HR Generalist will support the HR department in ensuring smooth and efficient business operations. The human resources generalist will have both administrative and strategic responsibilities and will help with important functions such as employee relations, HRIS, and training and development.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all sites; assists in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures; may prepare and maintain the employee handbook
- Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns regarding HR policies and workplace issues
- Conduct and analyze exit interviews and make actionable recommendations based on data
- Supports HR Business Partners in collecting and compiling information related to employee relations matters
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations
- Plans and contributes to employee engagement programs and activities, including employee appreciation events
- Support performance management, discipline, and separation processes
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance
- Responsible for employee files and periodically performs I-9 and employee file audits
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
- May assist with leave management
- May assist in facilitating HR training
- Performs other duties as assigned

- Maintains competency and knowledge of current standards of practice, trends, and developments in related scope of job role or practice
- Adheres to infection control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations
- Participate in ongoing quality improvement activities
- Completes required orientation as directed by the facility
- Follows facility and OSHA safety rules and procedures while on assignment
- Follows facility and CFG Health Systems Occurrence Protocol
- Upholds HIPAA and PREA regulations
- Punctual and dependable for assigned/confirmed shifts
- Maintains security clearance for the assigned facility
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, business administration, or related field required
- 2 or more years’ experience as an HR Generalist or similar HR role
- PHR, SHRM-CP a plus
- Must be able to work cooperatively with others and have integrity, initiative, and dependability.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and be detail oriented
- Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in establishing and maintaining good working relationships with all levels of employees
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems
FUNCTIONAL DEMANDS
- Ability to pass all required health and other screening tests
- May be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- On-call duty may be required (available to work on short notice)
