Job Purpose

This position entails the overall financial management and accounting leadership at GCubed, Inc.. The candidate will be responsible for financial planning, budgeting, and financial statements. Monitoring the financial status of the company, maintaining internal controls, ensure audit readiness, and perform the necessary and appropriate financial/program analysis as well as maturing financial policies and procedures. Performs complex and high responsible job duties in preparation, maintenance, and control of the institutional operating budget. Designs and implements budget enhancements. Analyzes and prepares accurate financial data and reports.

Essential Functions of the Job

• 401k administration
• Analyze and evaluate cost or price proposals and accounting systems data.
• Plan, establish, or review contracts, programs, policies, or procedures.
• File receipts and vendor payments stubs.
• Upload files/documents to SharePoint to appropriate folders to include Receipts and associated reconciliation, Subcontractor Invoices, Vendor agreements and invoices.
• Organize receipts and reconcile against statements (credit cards/banks).
• Create vendor folders as necessary.
• Submit invoices to WAWF.
• Create vendor files for reoccurring vendors and associated vendor file list (ex. Anthem, DataWatch, etc.).
• Confirm W9s for 1099 consultants/employees.
• Prepare tax filings for 1099 employees.
• Send documentation to all full-time employees.
• Gather documents as required for financial audits and tax preparations
• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including but not limited to: month and end-year process, accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, utilities, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, check runs, fixed asset activity, debt activity and project costing

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field or associates with equivalent years of experience
• Five years of progressively responsible experience in budgeting preparation and/or fiscal management
• Ability to apply budgetary and fiscal planning techniques within financial constraints
• Must successfully complete background investigation
• Advanced MS Office application skills: Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively orally, by phone, in person, or in writing
• Ability to use office equipment
• At least 2 years of administration experience
• Experience in a supervisor/management position

Working Conditions

Hybrid position alternating remote days with in office days. Will be expected to travel as needed to company subsidiaries, as well as to potential acquires to conduct due diligence. Periodic weekend or evening work is expected.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift 35 pounds. The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
