Help Save Lives. Help Build Futures.
At Recovery Centers of America (RCA), our mission is bold and deeply human: to save one million lives from the disease of addiction. Since 2013, we’ve been delivering evidence-based, compassionate care through inpatient, outpatient, and medication-assisted treatment programs—24/7, 365 days a year.
We believe recovery is personal. That’s why our programs are tailored to each individual and include specialized care for trauma, multiple recurrences, older adults, first responders, and more. We also believe recovery is stronger when families are involved, and our family-centered approach is a cornerstone of what we do.
The Role
We are seeking a Full-Time Inpatient Primary Therapist to join our Lighthouse team in Mays Landing, NJ. In this role, you’ll plan, direct, and coordinate clinically approved treatment programs while empowering clients and families through evidence-based, person-centered practices.
You’ll work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where your expertise directly impacts patient recovery and long-term success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather biopsychosocial data to assess clients’ mental and physical health, addiction, and readiness for treatment.
- Work collaboratively with clients to set treatment goals and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Provide education to families about addiction and recovery options.
- Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions to support client recovery.
- Guide clients in identifying and addressing behaviors or situations that interfere with their recovery.
- Assess and refer clients for additional services (e.g., job placement, educational support, case management).
- Participate in multi-disciplinary case presentations and team discussions.
- Develop comprehensive recovery plans, including continuing care options after discharge.
Qualifications:
- Required: Master’s degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling, and licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LAC.
- 1-3 years of experience in behavioral healthcare or substance abuse treatment, working with culturally diverse populations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of case management for dual diagnosis patients.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exhibit excellent customer relations.
Why RCA?
