Job Description
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of manufacturing engineers and technicians
- Set technical direction, prioritize projects, and allocate resources
- Establish performance goals, conduct reviews, and support career development
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Design, improve, and standardize manufacturing processes, tooling, and equipment
- Drive improvements in yield, cycle time, throughput, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE)
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action for manufacturing issues
- Develop and maintain standard work, work instructions, and process documentation
- Provide hands‑on engineering support to production during issue resolution
- Support new product introductions (NPI), process transfers, and scale‑up activities
- Partner with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to meet production goals
- Ensure processes meet safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
- Lead Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and kaizen initiatives
- Identify and implement cost‑reduction and efficiency improvement opportunities
- Develop business cases and manage capital equipment and tooling projects
- Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs)
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, or related Engineering field
- 7+ years of manufacturing or process engineering experience
- 3+ years of people management or technical leadership experience
- Strong understanding of Lean manufacturing principles and structured problem‑solving
- Experience with PFMEA, control plans, and process validation
- Proven ability to lead multiple projects in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree or MBA
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
- Experience in regulated manufacturing environments (medical, aerospace, automotive, etc.)
- Experience with automation, fixtures, and capital equipment projects
- Familiarity with ERP and MES systems
Compensation
The position has a compensation package inclusive of base, bonus (if eligible), benefits, 401k contribution, time off, recognition awards and more. This salary range is $100,000-$115,000.
