About the position:
We are looking for a Process Technology Coordinator to join the Process Engineering team, reporting directly to the Technology Manager.
The position will be based in Contagem, Minas Gerais (Brazil).
Responsible for coordinating and developing injection mold technology for automotive lighting components, ensuring technical performance, quality, cost, and project timing. The role also includes people management responsibilities and close collaboration with global teams and suppliers. .
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage the mold engineering team, fostering technical development, engagement, and performance.
- Lead project management activities related to the development and modification of injection molds, from concept phase through SOP.
- Act as the technical reference for injection molds applied to automotive lighting systems (lenses, reflectors, light guides, housings).
- Ensure technical alignment with toolmakers, and global engineering teams.
- Support and monitor tool try-outs, validations, process optimizations, and industrialization activities.
- Manage project timelines, costs, risks, and technical KPIs.
- Work in close collaboration with Product Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Process Engineering teams.
- Participate in technical reviews, project meetings, and global discussions conducted in English.
Requirements:
Technical Requirements:
- Strong expertise in plastic injection molds, preferably for automotive lighting applications.
- Solid experience with plastic injection molding processes, including multi-component and/or multicolor molds (considered a strong advantage).
- Knowledge of plastic materials commonly used in automotive lighting (PC, PMMA, ABS, blends, etc.).
- Experience in automotive industrial environments and project development with OEMs.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field (such as Production Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent).

- People management: team leadership, coaching, performance management, and workload organization.
- Project management: planning, scheduling, cost control, risk management, and delivery tracking.
- Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making capability.
Languages:
- Advanced English – fluent communication required for meetings, presentations, and interaction with international teams and suppliers.
