
Human Resources Assistant
Job Description
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Human Resources Assistant supports daily HR operations with a primary focus on recruiting, hiring, and onboarding. This role plays an important part in creating a positive candidate and employee experience while supporting the dealership’s hiring and administrative processes.
What You’ll DoRecruiting & Hiring Support
- Post and manage job openings across hiring platforms, social media, and recruiting sources
- Review resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates
- Coordinate phone screens, interviews, and hiring schedules with managers
- Communicate with candidates throughout the hiring process to ensure a positive experience
- Assist with recruiting efforts for sales, service, parts, administrative, and dealership support positions
- Attend job fairs, community events, and recruiting activities as needed
Onboarding & Employee Support
- Assist with onboarding paperwork, new hire processing, and orientation activities
- Help maintain employee records and applicant tracking systems
- Support new employees through the onboarding and training process
- Provide administrative support to HR and dealership leadership as needed
HR Administration & Compliance
- Maintain organized and accurate personnel and recruiting records
- Support compliance with HR policies, employment laws, and dealership procedures
- Assist with employee communication, reporting, and HR projects
- Maintain confidentiality of employee and candidate information at all times
What You Bring
- Previous recruiting, HR, administrative, or customer service experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
- Professional attitude with strong customer service skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and online hiring platforms
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
- High school diploma or equivalent required; HR coursework or degree preferred
Work Environment
This position is primarily office-based and includes:
- Frequent use of computers, phones, and office equipment
- Regular interaction with employees, candidates, and managers
- A fast-paced environment requiring strong multitasking and organization skills
- Occasional attendance at recruiting events or job fairs
