Peraton is currently seeking a Logistics Support, Property Book Office (PBO) Support Specialist experienced person to join Peratons' Southern European Task Force – Africa (SETAF-AF) Strategic Mission Support II (SMS II) program, supporting the 173rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team (Airborne) which conducts training and operations in both Europe and Africa.

Overview
Peraton is seeking talented Property Book Office (PBO) Support Specialists to join the Southern European Task Force – Africa (SETAF-AF) Strategic Mission Support II (SMS II) program in support of the 173rd Mobile Brigade Combat Team (Airborne). The 173rd MBCT (A) conducts training and operations throughout Europe and Africa.
This position supports the 173rd MBCT (A) North of the Alps (NOTA) Property Book Office in Grafenwöhr, Germany, providing logistical and property accountability support for both garrison and austere operational environments.
The selected candidate will support brigade and unit logistical processes for a Department of War agency responsible for supporting and protecting U.S. Army personnel.
Key Responsibilities
Under limited supervision, perform technical supply management and property accountability functions related to depot, local, and organizational supply activities. Responsibilities may vary by commodity area, complexity, and operational requirements.
Property Accountability & Asset Management
- Maintain 100% accountability of authorized equipment utilizing Global Combat Support System – Army (GCSS-Army).
- Conduct physical inventories, reconcile discrepancies, and prepare inventory adjustment documentation.
- Manage equipment redistribution and retrograde operations to support Army readiness objectives.
- Perform inventory management using authorized Accountable Property Systems of Record (APSR) and/or manual procedures, including:
- Ordering Major End Items and non-expendable equipment
- Equipment storage, receipt, and issue
- Inventory adjustments and reconciliation
- Redistribution and retrograde operations
- Records management to meet audit requirements
- DODAAC coordination
- Financial Liability Investigation of Property Loss (FLIPL) management
- Organizational Clothing and Individual Equipment (OCIE) management
Training & Advisory Support
Train unit supply personnel on:
- Property accountability procedures
- GCSS-Army operations
- Regulatory compliance requirements
- Provide subject matter expertise and logistical advisory support to government representatives on supply chain and property accountability matters.
- Audit Compliance & Records Management
- Maintain audit-ready documentation and records for inspections and compliance reviews.
- Ensure compliance with Army regulations, Command Supply Discipline Program (CSDP) requirements, and audit readiness initiatives.
Exercise & Operational Support
- Provide logistics and property accountability support during exercises and operational deployments.
- Participate in planning meetings, working groups, and in-progress reviews (IPRs).
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 6 years of U.S. Army experience, OR High School diploma with 12 years of U.S. Army experience in lieu of the bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum of 3 years of recent experience supporting U.S. Army Property Book Office operations.
- Experience working in computerized logistics and supply systems, including:
- GCSS-Army
- EFLIPL
- Decision Support Tool
- Microsoft Excel
- Microsoft Access
- Microsoft PowerPoint
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Active Secret Security Clearance required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain TESA authorization to work in Germany through the Department of War Contractor Personnel Office (DOCPER).
Preferred Qualifications
- 12+ years of experience in U.S. Army logistics and Property Book Office operations.
- Former U.S. Army:
- Senior NCO (SFC–SGM)
- Senior Warrant Officer (CW3–CW5)
- Commissioned Officer (CPT–LTC)
- Bilingual German language proficiency.
