Partner with the Director of US Operations and Senior Regulatory Affairs Manager to establish, communicate, and sustain consistent HSE expectations and standards.
Lead the implementation of Orbia safety standards, guidance, and best practices, ensuring consistent application across all assigned sites.
Develop, implement, and maintain regional and site-specific safety, industrial hygiene, ergonomics, and behavioral safety programs.
Drive risk identification, assessment, and reduction, including creation and tracking of site risk-based improvement plans.
Conduct facility safety inspections, fleet audits, and HSE audits, ensuring corrective actions are identified, implemented, and verified.
Ensure full compliance with OSHA, DOT, EPA, Louisiana, and other applicable federal, state, and local HSE regulations, and communicate regulatory changes to leadership.
Serve as a technical subject matter expert for safety, industrial hygiene, and safe work practices, supporting site leadership and employees.
Lead and support incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective/preventive action tracking, including OSHA recordkeeping and reporting.
Analyze HSE performance metrics, trends, and leading indicators to develop and execute strategic safety improvement plans.
Develop and coordinate HSE training programs, including hazard communication, material handling, ergonomics, powered industrial trucks, defensive driving, hot work, confined space, and fleet safety.
Coordinate and administer industrial hygiene programs, including air monitoring, noise exposure assessments, hearing conservation, and chemical health risk evaluations.
Support and enhance emergency preparedness, emergency response, and business continuity planning, including drills and readiness assessments.
Facilitate regional safety committees, promote employee engagement, manage external regulatory and consultant relationships, and support the regional HSE budget.
