Support day‑to‑day LAN network operations across campus, clinic, and hospital environments.
Participate in On‑Call rotation to troubleshoot and restore LAN outages and critical incidents.
Monitor LAN health using operational dashboards and alerts (SolarWinds) and act on configuration compliance gaps.
Own access‑layer stability, with strong knowledge of STP / RSTP / MST, root‑bridge design, and rapid resolution of loop and convergence issues in campus LANs.
Troubleshoot Layer 2 and Layer 3 LAN issues, including VLANs, trunking, STP, port channels, access connectivity, and campus routing protocols (EIGRP / OSPF / BGP within LAN environments).
Support and troubleshoot IP Multicast in campus LANs, including IGMP and PIM, to ensure reliable multicast traffic delivery.
Drive DPMO improvements by identifying recurring issues and reducing repeat network defects.
Execute LGW (LAN Get Well) initiatives focused on EOL device replacement across access, distribution, and core layers.
Perform IOS upgrades, switch lifecycle management, and hardware refreshes aligned with enterprise standards.
Plan and execute maintenance window activities, including cutovers, migrations, and post‑change validation.Create and follow MOPs, perform port mapping, and coordinate with CTS / EUS / field teams during on‑site work.
Ensure configuration standardization and compliance across LAN devices.
Support incident management, RCA, and problem management, with clear documentation and stakeholder communication.
Collaborate with LAN Engineering, Wireless, Security, and Service Desk teams to maintain stable and reliable LAN services.
Use SolarWinds to monitor switch availability, performance, alerts, and inventory; ensure proper onboarding and monitoring of all LAN devices.
Support network segmentation initiatives, including VLAN‑based segmentation and coordination with Cisco ISE for access control and policy enforcement.
Implement and maintain DCFC LAN standards, ensuring switch configurations, routing, segmentation, and design comply with approved clinical and enterprise guidelines.
Identify and automate repetitive LAN operational tasks using Python, Ansible, or similar tools to improve efficiency, consistency, and reliability across campus LAN environments.
