We are seeking a Business Analyst to join our team at Independent Living Systems (ILS). ILS, along with its affiliated health plans known as Florida Community Care and Florida Complete Care, is committed to promoting a higher quality of life and maximizing independence for all vulnerable populations.

About the Role:

The Business Analyst plays a critical role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions. This position focuses on thoroughly understanding and documenting business requirements to ensure that projects align with organizational goals and regulatory standards. The analyst will conduct detailed gap analyses to identify areas for improvement and develop actionable recommendations that enhance operational efficiency and patient outcomes. Collaborating closely with stakeholders, including clinical staff, IT teams, and management, the role ensures that solutions are both feasible and effective. Ultimately, the Business Analyst drives successful project delivery by facilitating clear communication, validating requirements through user acceptance testing, and supporting data-driven decision-making.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Health Informatics, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in business analysis within the healthcare or social assistance sector.
  • Strong proficiency in gathering and documenting business requirements and conducting gap analyses.
  • Experience with user acceptance testing and validating business solutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Visio and data mapping techniques.
  • Relevant experience may substitute for educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) or related credentials.
  • Experience with healthcare data standards and regulatory requirements such as HIPAA.
  • Advanced skills in Excel macros or other automation tools to enhance data processing.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and healthcare IT infrastructure.
  • Prior experience working in cross-functional teams within a healthcare environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Gather, analyze, and document detailed business requirements from diverse healthcare stakeholders, while facilitating communication between business units and IT to ensure alignment throughout project lifecycles.
  • Perform gap analysis to identify discrepancies between current processes and desired outcomes, and assist in resolving issues related to requirements and implementation.
  • Develop and maintain process flow diagrams and data mapping documentation using tools such as Microsoft Visio.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications that support business and operational goals.
  • Design and execute user acceptance testing (UAT) plans to validate that solutions meet business needs and project requirements.
  • Utilize macros and other automation tools to streamline data analysis, reporting tasks, and overall project efficiency.
