SKIMS is seeking a detail-oriented and employee-focused Leave of Absence & Benefits Administrator to support and manage all aspects of employee leave programs and benefits administration. This role will serve as a key resource for employees and managers by ensuring compliance with federal and state leave laws, company policies, and benefits processes while delivering a seamless and supportive employee experience.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, exercises sound judgment, maintains confidentiality, and has strong knowledge of leave administration and benefits practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and manage a wide range of employee leave programs, including FMLA, ADA, CFRA, state-specific leaves, parental leave, military leave, personal leave, and other protected absences.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employees, managers, and HR Business Partners regarding leave of absence and benefits-related inquiries.
- Evaluate employee eligibility for leave programs in accordance with federal and state regulations, company policies, and individual circumstances.
- Manage a high-volume caseload of leave requests, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant processing of applications, extensions, accommodations, and return-to-work documentation.
- Coordinate with employees, healthcare providers, legal counsel, and third-party administrators to obtain required documentation and medical certifications.
- Review and assess complex leave and accommodation cases, including intermittent leaves, concurrent leaves, and ADA accommodations, ensuring consistency and compliance in decision-making.
- Partner with HR leadership and legal teams to develop, update, and communicate leave of absence and benefits policies and procedures.
- Provide guidance and training to managers and employees on leave policies, benefits programs, and compliance best practices.
- Maintain accurate, organized, and confidential employee leave and benefits records.
- Generate reports and analyze leave utilization, trends, and compliance metrics to support HR leadership and business needs.
- Support benefits administration processes, including employee enrollments, life event changes, open enrollment, and benefits-related employee support.
- Assist with additional HR projects and responsibilities as assigned.
