Pool Desk Attendant

 POSITION SUMMARY: 

Under supervision of the Aquatics Director or Pool Manager
and consistent with the Christian mission of the YMCA, The Pool Attendant is
responsible for monitoring outdoor pool gate, verifying family memberships and
ensuring guests have checked in at the front desk during outdoor pool hours, administers
First Aid, maintains all safety and sanitation procedure’s according to the
policies of the Easton YMCA Aquatics Departments.  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Greet all members and public with a smile 
2. Control members entering the outdoor pool gate 
3. Keep pool desk/area clean and clutter free 
4. Communicate with the front desk staff 
5. Enforces all of the facility’s policies, rules and regulations 
6. Completes record and reports regarding patron attendance, swim testing, incidents and accidents 
7. Maintains effective relationships with the members, participants and other staff 
8. Participate in all staff meetings and in-service training's 
9. Conduct aquatic facility maintenance as assigned 

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. At least 16 years of age. 
2. General clerical and computer skills 
3. Ability to communicate with people of all levels 
4. Must present a professional, mature image and have excellent interpersonal communication skills.
5. CPR, First Aid, AED certifications and Child Abuse prevention training within 30 days of hire. 
6. Previous experience working with children in a developmental setting preferred. 
7. Ability to life up to 30lbs & bend, stand, sit, walk, run for extended periods of time.
