
Sales Director, Intelligent Grid Systems - North Central US
Job Description

Marketing
- Analyze evolving regional, state, and national grid trends and requirements
- Educate regulatory bodies and industry stakeholders
- Support customer funding and project justification efforts
- Evaluate competitor offerings and develop competitive strategies
- Compile and communicate market intelligence
- Lead periodic Voice of Customer (VOC) activities
- Support new product commercialization, including pilot hardware and software solutions
- Represent Hubbell at industry events through presentations and networking
Sales
- Identify and prioritize key utility accounts with 3+ year grid automation and communications planning horizons
- Build account teams and develop integrated system-level solution plans
- Establish and expand relationships across customer organizations
- Lead customer discovery, needs assessment, and solution development
- Understand and communicate customer decision-making structures and stakeholder roles
- Deliver technical and executive-level customer presentations
- Partner with commercial operations on proposals, pricing, and internal approvals
- Support transactional sales activities within assigned segments
- Achieve sales objectives and year-over-year organic growth
- Provide territory input for annual budgets and monthly forecasts
- Assist with customer credit verification and receivables collection as needed
- Maintain accurate CRM account and opportunity data
- Manage sales operating expenses within budget
Sales Channel Management
- Partner with Sales Channel Leadership to establish and support independent sales agents and distributors
- Enable channel partners to execute their assigned responsibilities effectively
