About Dubai Media Council:

The Dubai Media Council is the government authority responsible for regulating and developing Dubai’s media sector, strengthening the emirate’s position as a leading regional and global media hub through progressive policies, innovation, and talent development.

1. General Responsibilities

a. Implement the operational requirements for Licensing, in line with the overall Licensing strategy, vision and goals.

b. Work collaboratively with the Licensing team, to ensure smooth and on-time delivery of services to applicants

c. Provide metrics and supporting documents to the Head of Licensing, to support with the monthly KPI reports

2. Application Processing and Review

a. Review license applications for completeness, eligibility, and accuracy based on category-specific criteria.

b. Validate submitted documentation and flag any inconsistencies or omissions for applicant correction.

c. Assign license types based on operational descriptions provided by the applicant.

d. Ensure reviews are completed within SLA timelines.

e. Escalate unusual or ambiguous cases to the Head of Licensing for further guidance.

3. Platform and RecordManagement

a. Enter and update application status in the centralized digital licensing platform.

b. Maintain secure and traceable records of application data, supporting documents, and correspondence.

c. Log and resolve system errors or flagged data discrepancies.

d. Conduct audits of license records to ensure proper tagging and archival.

e. Generate periodic activity reports as assigned.

4. Stakeholder Interaction and Support

a. Respond to applicant inquiries via the support hub, chatbot escalations, or direct contact.

b. Guide applicants on documentation standards, form errors, or process timelines.

c. Coordinate with content, permit, or legal teams on cross-cutting licensing cases.

d. Contribute to the improvement of FAQs and instructional content.

e. Log frequent queries and recommend updates to application forms or help materials.

5. Operational Reporting

a. Track rejection and revision rates by license type and reason.

b. Identify trends in common errors or delays and flag for process improvement.

c. Contribute to monthly performance reporting by providing raw data and qualitative observations.

d. Participate in internal licensing team quality reviews and case audits.

e. Ensure all approvals or rejections are accurately coded and justified.

6. Regulatory Knowledge Application

a. Apply knowledge of licensing policy, eligibility rules, and license scope boundaries.

b. Stay updated on changes to license types, documentation requirements, or processing rules.

c. Ensure decision-making is aligned with the most current regulatory framework.

d. Flag policy interpretation questions to the Head for legal coordination.

e. Participate in periodic training on licensing updates and platform changes.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Media, or Business
  • Platform or CRM tool training/certification is a plus
