The Senior Engineering Technician for Cytiva is responsible for diverse and complex assignments in support of Cell Culture product manufacturing. Assignments may include but are not limited to setting up and running facility and production equipment, carrying out experiments, troubleshooting, reporting/documenting results of tests and measures, and driving operational excellence through continuous improvement initiatives.

 

This position reports to the Sr. Engineering Manager and is part of the engineering and maintenance department for the cell culture manufacturing site located at 25, Tuas South Street 1 and will be on site role.

 

What will you do: 

  • Perform and carry out preventative maintenance, repairs, and calibration of facility and production equipment with basic troubleshooting and conduct tests as required to conclude equipment issues relating to the facility in utilities and manufacturing operations. 
  • Adhere to training plans as required and follow cGMP requirements and QMS. Ensure QE and CAPA activities are carried out with site leadership team and completed on time as per QMS. 
  • Participate actively as a member of the site EHS team and support EHS programs with site leadership team to comply with EHS regulations and policies. 
  • Provide support to the site engineers to carry out continuous improvement and Capex projects with the stakeholder as well as to update relevant SOP and other procedures for the equipment. 
  • Carry out other site activities per the department supervisor’s instructions when needed but not limited to such as Cytiva ’s sustainability initiatives, DBS tools & methodologies, and e-learning activities, etc. 

 

Who you are: 

  • Diploma or associate degree (or local equivalent) in mechanical or electrical or mechatronics engineering with at least 4 - 5 years of technical experience in any Life Sciences or pharmaceutical or semi-conductor and chemical manufacturing industry.
  •  Proficiency to logically troubleshoot at subsystem and occasionally system level, using identifiable problem-solving techniques.
  •  Ability to draw accurate conclusions from test data, malfunctions, or deviations, and assist with corrections to the existing design or process. 

 

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to travel –10 % travel for trainings to the APAC regions.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a fork lifter driving record. 

 

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: 

  •  Demonstrated proficiency to utilize computerized work systems.
  •  Demonstrated ability to work well with general direction and information.
  •  Demonstrate an ongoing effort to maintain knowledge of current technology.
