Summary: The exam program operations coordinator supports the delivery of exam accommodations by coordinating daily exam centre operations within the department. This role provides operational coordination, supervision, and oversight of a team of staff that processes, prepares, and delivers exams for the university. The coordinator works as part of a team responsible for the determination and facilitation of exam services and accommodations to students who qualify for reasonable accommodations. This position helps to support students and uphold academic integrity. Duties and Responsibilities: Responds to concerns related to disability accommodations, exam irregularities, academic integrity concerns, technological failures, and escalated student or instructor concerns. Provides operational oversight of the exam program’s central service and administrative functions. Supervises a team of support staff within the exam centre office, including supporting hiring, professional development, assigning workflow, and providing mentorship and performance feedback. Approves timecards and facilitates payroll processes for staff. Maintains records and documentation in alignment with unit and university standards. Provides coordination and oversight in processing exam requests, printing, packaging, delivering exams, and other office operations. Troubleshoots computers, assistive technology, and online systems supporting the exam program. Liaises with central information technology resources on complex technological issues as well as new programs and software. Responds to general inquiries from students, instructors, and staff regarding exam accommodations and procedures. Provides coverage and assistance within other areas of the department. Contributes to departmental goals, initiatives, and team projects. Communicates and acts in a respectful and professional manner, collaborates effectively, abides by policy, contributes to a positive and productive work and learning environment, and models these behaviours across the institution. Builds and leads diverse teams, champions inclusive leadership, and values different perspectives. Undertakes related duties, as assigned, consistent with the nature of the position. Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree in a related field. Violence Threat Risk Assessment and Mental Health First Aid certification is an asset. Minimum of two years of experience working with individuals with disabilities and other protected categories in a disability, human rights, or post-secondary setting. Supervisory and team-building experience. Knowledge of human rights legislation, protected categories, and adult disability related issues. Knowledge of university examination processes, academic integrity requirements, and applicable privacy legislation. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a team. Strong organizational skills with the ability to balance competing priorities to meet deadlines. Ability to act with a high degree of professionalism, maintain confidentiality, and navigate sensitive matters with tact and diplomacy. Excellent customer service orientation. Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications as well as working knowledge and familiarity with assistive technologies.
