Marketing Specialist
Job Description
Primary Purpose:
The Marketing Specialist will lead strategic marketing and promotional efforts that support Hutto
ISD's student enrollment, talent recruitment, Hutto Virtual Academy growth, district initiatives,
and licensing program. This position is responsible for developing and implementing targeted
marketing campaigns across social media, digital advertising, and multimedia platforms to
strengthen community engagement, expand brand visibility, and elevate the Hutto ISD brand.
The Marketing Specialist will manage paid and organic social media strategies, oversee and
grow the district's licensing program, create compelling marketing content, analyze campaign
performance metrics, and collaborate with campuses and departments to promote district
programs, events, and priorities. This role also supports district branding, community awareness
efforts, and strategic communications initiatives.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, digital media, or related field preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Knowledge of digital marketing strategies, audience targeting, and campaign analytics
- Knowledge of paid advertising platforms including Meta, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube,
and Google Ads - Knowledge of social media trends, engagement strategies, and content optimization
- Knowledge of web content design, digital layout principles, and user-focused website
communication - Experience editing and maintaining website content through content management
systems, including Finalsite - Understanding of brand management and licensing program administration
- Strong understanding of branding and visual communication principles
- Proficiency in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, and other content creation platforms
- Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and storytelling skills
- Ability to analyze campaign performance and use data to guide decision-making
- Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work collaboratively with campuses, departments, vendors, and community
partners - Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain professionalism and emotional control under stress
Experience:
- Minimum of three years of professional experience in marketing, communications, social media management, or digital advertising or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience managing paid social media campaigns and digital marketing strategies preferred
- Experience in brand management, partnerships, or licensing programs preferred
Experience in public education, government, or nonprofit communications preferred
