🌍 Commodities Trader | International Company | Based in Panama
We’re partnering with a leading global company in the industrial sector to find a Commodities Trader, a strategic role for their operations in Panama.
We’re looking for someone with strong commercial acumen, solid English skills, and experience in international operations.
Backgrounds in commodity trading — especially in steel (preferred), cement, chemicals, or similar industries — will be highly valued. Full command of Incoterms 2020 and all documentation involved in international transactions and/or shipments is a must for this role.
💼 What will you do in this role?
You’ll work in a highly autonomous and fast-paced environment, identifying business opportunities, managing relationships with international suppliers and clients, and taking an active role in negotiations, deal structuring, and end-to-end operation management.
We’re looking for a curious, agile, and proactive attitude — someone eager to grow and learn constantly from the market.
Your ability to make commercially sound decisions, adapt to dynamic environments, and build trust-based relationships that generate long-term value will be key.
This role blends analysis, execution, and strategic thinking: it’s not just about delivering — it’s about anticipating, spotting opportunities, and turning them into results.
🎯 We’re looking for someone who has:
- 2 to 4 years of experience in international trade, commodity trading, or global commercial roles
- Fluency in English (mandatory) and native Spanish. Knowledge of other languages is a plus
- Residency in Panama, or willingness to relocate in the short term
- Experience in industrial or complex commodity sectors such as steel, cement, chemicals, or similar markets with international business dynamics
- Full command of Incoterms 2020 and comprehensive knowledge of international shipping documentation
- Availability to travel approximately 30% to 40% of the year
📍Work setup: 100% on-site at the company’s offices in Costa del Este, Panama
Compensation: Base salary + annual performance bonus
Includes initial training in Europe and a long-term career development plan
