Job Description

Dates of summer school - Monday – Thursday - July 6 – July 30

Staff will have one prep day - July 2

Teacher work hour – 830-230 pm

Pay - Daily Rate

Certification 
1. Must have a valid WV teaching certificate
2. Certification in grades 9-12 preferred 
2. Certification in 9-12 Math preferred

Essential Job Functions: 
1. Plan, implement, and coordinate the day-to-day operation of the credit recovery program.
2. Check and verify student attendance each day. 
3. Address student discipline issues using WVDE policy 4373. 
4. Communicate with parents/ guardians to address student needs and concerns. 
5. Engage in developing project-based and other activities with a particular focus on Math, ELA, and STEM. 
6. Ensure the facility is cleaned.
7. Utilize the EDGEUNITY program to assist students in recovering credits.
8. Coordinate with district personnel and administrators in developing and implementing assessment strategies to identify student needs and develop corresponding program learning modules to support student needs consistent with school improvement plan goals. 
9. Implement technology to enhance student learning.
10. Work collaboratively within the building and throughout the district, to align and partner with existing programs and departments. 
11. Performs other duties as may be assigned.
