About the role

We have an opportunity for a Administrative Officer to be part of our (add business unit / command) team. The Administrative Officer provides a broad range of administrative services and leverages extensive command/business unit knowledge to support the business area’s program of work and facilitate the delivery of business operations.

 

The Network and Security Platform Services Directorate manage and maintain the overarching connectivity and security requirements for over 550 NSWP sites. 

 

They are responsible for the connection of users and devices to NSWPF systems, the delivery of data across the entirety of the NSWPF Network, the network management of boundaries, security and dataflow control and the control interoperability and connectivity between NSWPF applications, external services and devices. 

 

The Administrative Officer reports into the Network Performance and Governance Team within the Network and Security Platform Services Directorate, Technology and Communication Services Command. 

 

This role will work closely with the Director Network and Security Platform Services and Manager, Network Performance and Governance on the following items and more:

  • Executive Support 
  • Directorate Correspondence & Support 
  • Resource Vetting 
  • Circulation of documentation 
  • Creation and management of purchase orders 
  • Recruitment Coordination 
  • Directorate Coordination 
  • Vehicle Management 
  • Review, preparation and coordinate business unit documentation 
  • Ability to use ServiceNow (desired but not compulsory) 
  • Ability to use Record Management Systems (desired but not compulsory) 
  • Drivers Licence

 

The successful candidate will have:

  • Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service 
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a professional attitude at all times. 
  • Demonstrated advanced administrative and clerical skills including data accuracy & attention to detail. 
  • Demonstrated excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. 
  • Ability to manage competing demands in a high-volume work environment and problem solve as appropriate. 
  • The ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team and the ability to work independently.

 

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

  • You will be asked to complete a Baseline Vetting Clearance, please note you may be required to upgrade your clearance to NV1 in the future.
