Job Purpose

The NAPC Production Planner B is responsible for scheduling and planning production related to FRM, PT, Service or In-house lines in order to meet the overall company Seihan Strategy. The Production Planner B will evaluate the overall plan and assess and create optimal production plans that support both I/H departments and supply chain departments. Production Planner B is responsible to set model rotations and assign new models accordingly. Production Planner B will engage with internal Depts and External customers to confirm line setting meets the needs of the customer. Production Planner B will be responsible to train new Production Planner A members and support key questions from Production Planner A to provide direction. Production Planner B will backup Group Leads as needed. Planner B will be responsible to manage and lead key projects and themes within unit and evaluate Planner A input into project support and themes.

Key Accountabilities

  • Evaluate, Create, manage and train certain associates on daily / weekly / monthly schedules in appropriate software
  • Create Midterm and Ki schedules thru evaluation of optimal planning
  • Responsible to training and guiding Production Planner A associates
  • Responsible to manage and lead key unit projects and themes as well as evaluate Planner A inputs into the projects
  • Communicate production volumes and model mix strategies to internal / external parties
  • Negotiate optimal schedules with In-house department to mees service sales needs
  • Provide new model trial event management as assigned
  • Manage invoicing and inventory balances
  • Schedule and coordinate production weekend activity for the plant

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

Minimum Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field, or equivalent relevant experience

Minimum Experience:

  • 2+ work experience based on education

Decisions Expected

  • For lines managed, determine optimal production plan considering In/House and Out-source constraints
  • Determine proper inventory levels for service and in-house for judgement on production planning
  • Judge if a line needs to run overtime to meet demand needs.
  • Ensure customers such as sales or in/house, ENG or FRM plants understand direction of lines managed
  • Providing accurate direction to Production Planner A associates to ensure goals are met on the key themes and projects within the unit
  • When acting as GL backup make appropriate decisions to internal and external stakeholders

Working Conditions

  • Open office environment
  • Some travel may be required
  • 3 ~ 5 hours of OT weekly
