We offer you a key role where you will be responsible for leading local improvement and operational teams to identify projects and opportunity areas across the supply chain, with the aim of significantly improving productivity, process performance, capacity utilization, efficiency, cost, and the development of new operational capabilities.
At PPG Tikkurila you will work closely with operations and collaborate with stakeholders across production, logistics, systems, and continuous improvement.
What will you get to do with us?
As an Operational Excellence Manager, you will be responsible for leading local improvement and operational teams, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and identifying opportunities across the supply chain.
In this role you will:
Lead multidisciplinary teams to identify process bottlenecks and improvement opportunities
Use data and systematic tools to improve efficiency, throughput, and capacity utilization
Review process performance and optimize the use of resources, equipment, and materials
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement best practices across operations
Create and maintain KPIs and scorecards to track performance and results
Implement Operational Excellence ways of working and support a strong continuous improvement culture
Who is this role for?
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a production environment, enjoys problem-solving, and is motivated to drive change together with teams. You are a hands-on leader who understands operational realities and can turn improvement ideas into tangible results.
What we expect from you:
Relevant degree (e.g. Industrial Engineering or similar)
Strong hands-on experience in Lean manufacturing and process improvement
Experience in leading teams and projects
Strong understanding of operational and production environments
Practical experience with Six Sigma tools and a systematic problem-solving approach
Fluency in Finnish and English
What we offer you
We offer a responsible and impactful role within an international continuous improvement organization. You will be part of a global network of approximately 14 professionals working in similar roles across different countries. The role also offers occasional opportunities to travel and contribute to projects in other locations across Europe.
PPG’s work arrangement is a Flexible Friday model designed to accelerate collaboration and career development. Teams work together on site Monday through Thursday, with the opportunity to work remotely on Fridays.
