JOB TITLE: Campus Intervention Specialist

DEPARTMENT: Instruction

REPORTS TO: Building Principal

FLSA STATUS: Exempt

EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Full-time, 10-month contract

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

 

 Education: Preferred Bachelor's degree in education, psychology, behavior analysis, special education, or related field. 

 

Experience: Experience with RTI/MTSS processes preferred. Campus leadership experience preferred.

 

Skills: Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet timelines. Ability to facilitate meetings effectively. Strong attention to detail. Ability to work independently and apply new learning with minimal support. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with staff, students, and parents. Ability to maintain confidentiality and remain calm under stress.

 

SUMMARY: Coordinates campus-level assessment, Section 504, and student intervention processes. Ensures effective implementation and monitoring of RTI/MTSS systems, assessment programs, and student support services to promote student success.

  • Coordinate the multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) and Response to Intervention (RTI) processes on campus.

     
  • Train staff in RTI/MTSS procedures and intervention strategies.

     
  • Assist in identifying students in need of academic or behavioral intervention.

     
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings related to interventions, assessments, and student support services.

     
  • Maintain required documentation and ensure integrity of intervention processes, assessment procedures, and timelines.

     
  • Monitor implementation and fidelity of intervention strategies.

     
  • Coordinate Reading Sufficiency Act (RSA) processes and required documentation.

     
  • Coordinate all district assessments, including training, distribution, administration, scoring, and follow-up processes.

     
  • Coordinate national assessments (e.g., CogAT, NAEP) including administration and reporting.

     
  • Coordinate all aspects of state assessments including training, secure materials handling, accommodations, demographic accuracy, and score reporting.

     
  • Serve as campus contact and trainer for assessment-related software programs (e.g., STAR, Imagine Learning, Waterford).

     
  • Coordinate and lead the campus grade retention process.

     
  • Attend district meetings and collaborate with district staff to ensure consistency in assessment, RTI/MTSS, Section 504, and special education referral processes.

     
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the superintendent or district administration.

Ability to maintain emotional control under stress. Ability to build and maintain cooperative relationships with district staff, students, parents, and the public. Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.

 

ATTENDANCE STATEMENT: Able to be in attendance for assigned responsibilities with 95% attendance.

 

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS: Primarily inside working conditions; some exposure to environmental conditions may be required.

 

PHYSICAL STANDARDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit at a desk or in meetings for long periods; travel to school sites; and using keyboarding skills, work on a computer for long periods.Occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting.
