Director of Advancement
St. Rose High School, Belmar, New Jersey
St. Rose High School is seeking a dynamic, mission driven, relationship focused professional to serve as our next Director of Advancement. This is an exciting opportunity for an energetic leader to help shape the future of a growing Catholic high school rooted in faith, tradition, academic excellence, and community.
The Director of Advancement will play a vital role in strengthening philanthropic support, expanding community partnerships, enhancing alumni engagement, and advancing the long term vision of St. Rose High School. This individual will work closely with the Principal, Advisory Board, alumni, families, donors, and community stakeholders to lead fundraising and advancement initiatives that directly impact students and the future growth of the school.
The ideal candidate is a highly motivated self-starter who thrives on building relationships, connecting people to mission, and creating meaningful opportunities for support and engagement.
Responsibilities
• Lead and execute the school's annual advancement and fundraising strategy
• Cultivate, solicit, and steward donors and benefactors
• Manage annual giving initiatives, major gifts, sponsorships, and fundraising campaigns
• Assist in the planning and execution of advancement events and donor engagement opportunities
• Strengthen alumni relations and community partnerships
• Collaborate with school leadership on strategic growth initiatives and capital campaign preparation
• Identify and pursue new philanthropic and corporate partnership opportunities
• Maintain donor records and advancement reporting systems
• Support marketing and communications efforts related to advancement initiatives
• Serve as a visible and positive ambassador for St. Rose High School and its mission
Carry out any additional responsibilities and special projects as assigned by the Principal to support the continued growth, advancement, and overall mission of St. Rose High School
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Experience in fundraising, advancement, sales, development, marketing, nonprofit leadership, or relationship management preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to build authentic relationships and inspire philanthropic support
• Self motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Appreciation for and commitment to the mission of Catholic education
Compensation
• Base Salary: $60,000 – $80,000 commensurate with experience
• Performance based commission and incentive opportunities available
