We are seeking a proactive, highly collaborative, and self-driven Intermediate UX Designer to join our team in Bengaluru. In this role, you will play a critical part in advancing Worker Safety, our AI-powered platform that helps field teams anticipate and avoid hazards before they occur.
This position reports to our UX Design Manager is ideal for a designer who thrives on autonomy, understands how to navigate the full product lifecycle, and values close collaboration between design and development. A candidate who knows how to ramp up quickly, identify and communicate product gaps, and manage their own momentum will thrive. Working across distributed teams and time zones, the successful candidate will take ownership of delivering thoughtful, user-centered solutions for web and mobile enterprise applications with minimal supervision.
What You’ll Do
Own the Lifecycle: Drive the end-to-end design process for your product area—from initial discovery, workflow mapping, and wireframing to delivery, developer handoff, and post-launch iteration.
Bridge Design & Engineering: Act as a core partner to our engineering teams. Speak their language, understand technical constraints, and ensure design intent is maintained through structured Figma handoffs and consistent, proactive communication (asynchronous and synchronous) with North American teams .
Scale the Design System: Actively contribute to, maintain, and expand our unified design system. Ensure UI components and patterns are reusable, scalable, and optimized for developer consumption.
Proactively Solve UX Friction: Use your analytical skills to spot usability gaps, edge cases, or inconsistencies in product specs early, bringing structured, evidence-based solutions to the table before they reach development.
Research & Validate: Conduct targeted user discovery, create user flows, and run usability testing to validate design decisions and integrate feedback into cohesive web and mobile interfaces.
Who You Are
Experience: 3 to 5 years of professional UX/Product Design experience delivering end-to-end design solutions for web and mobile enterprise applications (experience designing for field workers or complex B2B SaaS is a preferred).
“Self-Starter" Mindset: Proven track record of working independently with minimal supervision within a design team. Prior experience as a design contractor, consultant, or agency lead is highly valued because you know how to manage your own velocity and take initiative.
Systems Thinker: Strong proficiency in Figma, with practical experience using and contributing to component libraries, variants, and auto-layout structures (experience building Design Systems is preferred). Familiarity with utilizing AI (e.g., Claude, Figma AI, Replit) for concept exploration, user research, and rapid prototyping is an asset.
Engineering Fluency: Strong communication and collaboration skills within distributed teams, backed by a solid understanding of front-end constraints (HTML, CSS, and how components translate to code).
User-Centered Mindset: Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, accessibility standards (WCAG), and basic user research/usability testing methodologies.
Portfolio Requirement: A portfolio showcasing case studies that highlight not just final UI mockups, but how you handled technical constraints, collaborated with developers, and took initiative to solve ambiguous problems.
