Membership Childwatch Staff

The Playhouse Attendant is responsible for providing a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for the children in the YMCA playhouse area. The attendant ensures the well-being of the children. leads activities, and maintains a clean and organized space. This role requires a passion for working with children, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle emergencies calmly and effectively. Responsibiities: Supervise children in the playhouse are at all times Ensure the safety and well-being of all children by following the YMCA policies and procedures. Conduct regular headcounts and monitor children's activities to prevent accidents and injuries. Respond promptly and appropiately to any emergencies or incidents. Adapt activities to meet the needs and interests of individuals children and the group. Greet parents and children warmly upon arrival and depature. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's experience and any issues or concerns. Provide feedback to the Program Director on program success and area for improvement. Maintain clean, safe, and organized playhouse area. Sanitize toys,equipment, and surfaces regulary to prevent the spread of germs. Ensure that supplies are stocked and reports any needs to the Program Director. Additional Duties: Maintain accurate attendance records Report any incidents, accidents, or concerns to the Program Director immediately. Qualifications: Minimum age requirement 16yrs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a team and independently. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends. Previous experience working with children in a early education, camp or similar settings. CPR & First AId Certification ( willimgness to obtain upon hire).
