Job Title: Materials Planner
Job SummaryThe Materials Planner is responsible for global inventory planning and coordination of order fulfillment acrosssupport a key region of business units. The role designs and manages optimal inventory levels, reliable delivery performance, and transparent reporting of key supply chain metrics.
Manage materials planning for items sourced and distributed globally to ensure efficient and timely delivery of customer orders across the organization for specific regions or business unit.
Utilize and deploy planning methods to create and manage safety stocks and reorder points to optimize inventory costs and service levels based on demand and lead times.
Analyze data to drive continuous improvement in planning accuracy, fullfilment levels, and inventory efficiency.
Proactively identify and mitigate risks related to shortages, capacity constraints, and logistics disruptions. Collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, manufacturing, logistics and customer sales teams.
Develop and maintain reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs), including:
On-Time Delivery (OTD)
Material Shortages
Backorders
Inventory levels and turns
Support implementation and optimization of planning systems, tools, and processes.
Meet deadlines on a daily, weekly and quarterly basis
Qualifications & Skills
Proven experience in supply chain planning, demand planning, or order fulfillment in a global environment.
Strong understanding of inventory management concepts, including safety stock and reorder point methodologies.
Experience with ERP and planning systems (preferred Oracle).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders across different regions and functions.
Experience or desire to level AI tools to improve planning methods and results.
Knowledge of data management tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik View, or other like tools
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Fluent in English (written and spoken).
