The Opportunity
This position works out of our location in Arecibo, CRM Plant.
Shift: second shift temporary assignment for 6 months
As a Trainer, primary function/purpose of the team leader is to assist the Production Supervisor in managing the daily activities of the production of Abbott products. Using his/her complete knowledge of the quality system, people management skills, and company policies and procedures, the Team Leader ensures that procedures are followed, non-conformance issues are elevated immediately, and that staff is performing at expected levels. Responsible for maintain the production schedules and comply with all manufacturing and quality..
What You’ll Do
Assisting supervisor with daily management of the production line/cell including but not limited to: (Weight=50%)
Scheduling of product builds and tracking of scrap.
Verification and routing of product, verification of traceability and provide tooling to operators
Implementation of new processes.
Training of new employees in procedures, equipment, and safety.
Ensuring Policy and Procedure adherence.
Avoid accidents enforcing prevention in all safety.
Avoid quality incidents through prevention.
Responsible for reporting and verifying daily metrics including but not limited to first pass yield, productivity, volume, Yield, Scrap,
attendance, safety incidents and process audit metrics.
Ensures that processes are being followed and adhered to at all times by monitoring staff and metrics. Holds meetings with the
team to discuss variations and issues as they arise.
Elevates quality issues immediately when they occur. Has the ability and responsibility to stop the line immediately when nonconformance
quality issues are identified and to immediately communicate with the supervisor all quality deviations.
• Responsible to reconcile metrics and handoff issues with the prior or next team leader at the end of the shift to ensure continuity
of operations. This may include completing daily checklists, line audits, and other process audits.
• Ensure compliance with all Abbott procedures including all applicable regulatory agency requirements.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma required or Associate degree is preferable
Minimun one year of experience in manufacturing environment
Computer knowledge in programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, and SA Pare preferred.
Previous lead experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of quality systems, lean manufacturing, inventory control methods, and computers.
People skills, communication skills (speaking and writing).
Must be capable to read and understand documents both in English and Spanish.
Must be detailed, oriented, self-motivated, and able to handle multiple tasks.

The base pay for this position is
$13.18 – $25.02/hourIn specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
