About the Role:We’re looking for a detail-oriented and welcoming team member to provide clerical support in one of our outpatient centers. In this role, you’ll be an important part of the day-to-day experience for patients, visitors, and clinical staff.
You’ll help keep the center running smoothly by managing schedules, supporting patient interactions, and handling important administrative tasks. If you enjoy staying organized, helping others, and being part of a team in a fast-paced healthcare environment, this role is a great fit.
The starting annual salary for this position is $47,695 and this can include a full comprehensive benefits package.
What You’ll Do:
Greet and assist patients and visitors in a friendly, professional manner
Answer phone calls, respond to routine questions, and direct inquiries as needed
Schedule and coordinate appointments to support clinic operations
Record and transcribe physician orders accurately
Support the co-pay collection process and related administrative tasks
Maintain organized records while ensuring patient confidentiality
Work closely with clinical and administrative team members to support daily operations
Participate in team activities and help contribute to a positive, collaborative environment

Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience1. Medical Office Assistant Associate’s degree and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time administrative support experience in a clinical setting requiring the use of medical terminology; or
2. Associate’s degree and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time administrative support experience in a clinical setting requiring the use of medical terminology; or
3. High School diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma, completion of an Roswell Park-approved Medical Assistant certificate program and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time administrative support experience in a clinical setting requiring the use of medical terminology; or
4. High School diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time administrative support experience in a clinical setting requiring the use of medical terminology; or
5. High School diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time experience in customer service and successful completion of a Clinical Center Associate traineeship at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center (Roswell Park).
NOTE:
Degrees must be conferred by an accredited school, college, or university, or by an institution recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and/or Health Research Incorporated as adhering to acceptable educational standards.
