Job Description

Your responsibilities Supporting our critical Core Banking platform, with a focus on achieving our high SLAs through well executed system design and implementation. Interface with vendor, business representatives and technical specialists, projects, end-users and management and apply expert Core Banking technical advice to translate business requirements and change requests into appropriate and efficient Core Banking outcomes. Review and Support Vendor provided software updates through all life cycles of implementation System patching and vulnerability management to keep within the organizations operational risk appetite statement Configuration and maintenance of 24x7 system monitoring and alerting of critical systems Support for project delivery teams of non-production environment availability, configuration and application build and deployment processes Build and configuration of ancillary Release and Deployment systems Technical documentation of processes and procedures Participation in the 24x7 rotational Core Banking on-call roster Incident management and stakeholder communications for outages Your experience 5+ years in IT with a background in Application Support and/or Systems Administration Extensive experienced with Application Support in a Linux Based environment (Ideally Red Hat) Extensive experience supporting a Core Banking or ERP style system. Experience utilizing DBMS for Support purposes (Ideally DB2) Experience working with 3rd party vendors for 3rd level support Experience with Linux system maintenance and operations Experience utilising and writing scripts for Application support and management (Bash, PowerShell, Python) Experience operating in an AWS based ecosystem (EC2, RDS, S3) Understanding of databases concepts underpinning business critical applications Fundamental understanding of all areas of technology including infrastructure, networking, storage, integration, security, applications, and software development Experience in Service Management/ Incident Management of integrated operational systems System Change and Release Management experience in a change-controlled environment Highly Regarded Experience Experience in an Application Support role in Financial Services Experience operating within a regulated environment Experience supporting an "On Premise" style Core Banking system e.g. TCS BaNCS Experience in Enterprise Scheduling systems (StoneBranch, Control M, ESP) Experience with Release and Deployment Management for COTS systems on Linux. Insight of Banking and Finance sector regulations and compliances Your qualifications Desirable Degree qualifications in Information Technology or similar, or equivalent experience Technology Industry Certifications (RHEL, Microsoft, AWS etc)
