Summary:
Summary:
An Inventory & Production Support Manager at Pacific Seafood is a key role for the overall financial success of our processing division. You will be leading efforts to standardize processes, improve costing accuracy and provide support to locations across the division. This position involves inventory control, costing, technology, and management and is ideal for someone who has leadership skills, organizational skills, production knowledge and is detail orientated. This position will also be a cross functional partner within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
1. Processing Plant Support:
- Provide overall leadership, direction, and accountability for plant level inventory control and production support activities.
- Oversee purchasing planning and inventory availability to support production requirements.
- Establish and enforce controls to ensure accurate, timely, and complete inventory transactions and financial records.
- Manage and participate in product costing reviews, including pre-season planning and ongoing cost analysis.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures related to inventory, production reporting, and financial integrity.
- Assess plant compliance, identify control gaps, and drive corrective actions to ensure adherence to approved inventory and costing procedures.
- Lead period end inventory counts, cycle counts, and reconciliation activities to ensure inventory accuracy.
2. Production Support and Reporting:
- Oversee plant level production support processes to ensure accurate production reporting and system integrity.
- Serve as the primary owner for APC processes, including documentation, standardization, maintenance, and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with sales and marketing to synchronize inventory strategies with customer needs.
- Develop operational KPIs annually, ensuring continual monitoring, analysis of data, and course correction when necessary.
- Review and validate production reporting, cost allocations, and system transactions.
- Lead APC documentation, standardization, and further development as needed.
- Develop and maintain best practices for inventory control, production support, and data integrity
Additional responsibilities may be assigned as deemed necessary to support the overall goals and objectives of the position.
What you bring to Pacific Seafood
Required:
- 7+ years of Inventory Control experience.
- 3+ years of Production Support experience.
- Advanced proficiency in inventory management and ERP systems.
- Strong knowledge of industry best practices in inventory control and supply chain management
- Proven ability to lead cross functional initiatives.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze operational and financial data, identify trends or risks, and drive corrective actions.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven track record of successfully implementing ERP systems.
- Experience working with ERP systems, including AS400 or similar legacy platforms.
