Seasonal Shrimp Cook
Department: Newport Production

Reporting To: Miguel Calleja Marin
Compensation: $19.77 / hour

Summary:
Summary:
Operate machinery to ensure the proper and timely processing of meat.
Key Responsibilities
Duties include but not limited to:
- Be a role model in projecting and applying The Pacific Group Diamond Philosophy (Productivity, Quality, Excellence and Teamwork) and promote teamwork at all times
- Monitor cook times and temperatures
- Removes shell from product
- Inspect meat for shell and defects
- Operate heavy machinery such as: peeler, cooker, and pallet jacks
- Operate computerized touchscreen broiler
- Perform general maintenance to machinery and equipment
- Follow health and safety guidelines
- Perform other duties, as assigned
What you bring to Pacific Seafood
Preferred:
- Previous processing room experience
- Experience working with production related equipment
Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
Physical Requirements
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is:
- Constantly required to stand; walk, lift and/or carry up to 25lbs, twisting and reaching of the body, use hands to squeeze and operate hand-held equipment.
- Regularly required to operate hand driven equipment.
- Occasionally required to lift and/or carry up to 50lbs, sit, kneel, squat, or climb.
