To ensure accurate and timely processing of employee payroll, compliance with statutory regulations, and proper accounting, reconciliation, and reporting of all payroll-related transactions.
Validate payroll inputs including, Salary revisions, one-time payments, Leave records, Full & Final settlements, Ensure correct calculation of Earnings, Deductions, Tax (TDS) and Coordinate with HR for employee data updates and approvals.
Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations including Income Tax (TDS on salaries, Form 16 issuance), Provident Fund (PF), Professional Tax (PT),
Labour laws and other statutory requirements. Ensure timely deposit of statutory dues and filing of returns.
Prepare and post payroll journal entries in the accounting system. Maintain proper classification of Salary expenses. Bonus provisions, Gratuity, leave encashment provisions. Perform monthly reconciliation of Payroll accounts, Bank accounts used for salary disbursement, Statutory payable accounts and Ensure payroll costs are accurately reflected in financial statements.
Ensure accurate deduction of income tax from employee salaries, handle employee tax declarations and validations,
Issue Form 16 and support employees on tax-related queries.
Liaise with Payroll service provider. Ensure SLAs are met by payroll vendor.
Coordinate with internal departments (HR, Finance, IT)
