Power BI Lead Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Strong Power BI report development and application design experience; 

experience designing role-based dashboards and audience-specific reporting views; 

knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID / Azure Active Directory and Power BI security concepts including workspace roles and row-level security; 

ability to translate business requirements into page structures and visual designs; 

experience working with enterprise reporting stakeholders across leadership, asset, functional, and analyst audiences; strong facilitation, documentation, and iterative requirements refinement skills; and familiarity with SQL and datalake sources. 

The ability to test and validate large data sets with PowerQuery, and the ability to code in DAX.

Tools needed to execute the work:

Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, Microsoft Entra ID / Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, SharePoint, approved client data sources and semantic models, and other Chevron-approved collaboration or reporting tools as required.

B. Tech with 10-12 years of experience

Strong Power BI report development and application design experience;
