Your function: 

As an Account Manager within the Food, Agriculture & Outdoor (FAO) Business Unit sales team you will be responsible for driving incremental new business to DLL through Relationship Management and Business Development activity, through DLLs partnerships in Livestock and Inputs Finance. You will be required to work closely with representatives of existing and prospective vendor partners across Australia, and their end-user customers as applicable. 

The role will also be a liaison on designated accounts with internal departments of DLL including Business Support, Credit, Settlements, Customer Service, Compliance, Collections, Finance and Asset Management. 

The role will be directly responsible for key designated accounts within DLLs Livestock and Inputs Finance partnerships, with an individual sales target. Typical OKR’s will include new business volume, margin and other income, portfolio profitability, market growth & diversification, risk cost management and you team inclusiveness activities. You will report to the Country Sales Manager for Australia within the Food, Agriculture & Outdoor Global Business Unit.

Day to day: 

  • Expand and maintain existing partnerships through proactive relationship management including face to face visits to our major customers and partners. 

  • Increase new business volume and DLL share of partner business, through regular call cycles, problem solving, and process improvements.

  • Develop and execute program management strategies to achieve/exceed sales budgets in place for existing partners including new business volume, margin and fee income with forecasting and pipeline management.

  • Training and development of partner sales teams to ensure high levels of finance penetration and attraction of a high-quality customer base.

  • Continuously monitor and follow-up on leads in the pipeline with existing partners (and prospects). 

  • Handle first-line escalation for non-standard enquiries, including pricing, changes in Terms & Conditions, priority deal management and settlement exceptions. Also act as first-line support for partner queries on deal status for designated accounts and other matters.

  • Work with partners to drive efficiencies and process improvement, to streamline the handling of incoming applications, approvals and settlements as required.

  • Identify and implement process improvement actions with a view to streamlining customer and partner experience

  • Manage portfolio health through regular monitoring and engagement with partners to ensure program profitability is being met.

  • Work closely with our Sales Support teams to ensure smooth processing of transactions.

Your profile: 

  • Deadline driven, and with excellent time management skills.

  • Self-starter, able to self-motivate and work autonomously in a fast-paced environment with an adaptive approach. 

  • Positive, can-do attitude is essential with a high attention to detail and a strong compliance focus

  • Excellent communication skills – verbal & written.

  • A growth mindset, with proven ability to constantly improve oneself.

  • High level of interpersonal skills, including an ability to develop close relationships at all levels, and across new referral partners, existing partner contacts, and DLL internal (local and global) stakeholders.

  • Strong understanding of sales processes, equipment finance documentation and credit/risk management in the equipment finance market.

  • Demonstrated experience in identifying customer needs and going above expectations in delivering solutions that exceed expectations. 

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a relevant role.

  • Experience from the Agriculture, Livestock & Inputs industries is preferred.
