The Role

Take ownership of end-to-end category strategy and execution across New Zealand, shaping how we grow the wine category with key retail partners.

You’ll report into the Head of Category & Insights (ANZ & Asia) and sit within a tight-knit, highly collaborative NZ team that’s well integrated with our broader commercial, sales and brand functions.

This is a high-autonomy role, where you’ll manage your portfolio end-to-end, balancing day-to-day delivery with forward planning in a fast-moving environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver category strategies across wine and key sub-segments
- Lead category reviews with major retailers
- Analyse scan and shopper data to identify trends and opportunities
- Turn insights into clear, actionable commercial recommendations
- Partner closely with Sales to bring category strategy into customer conversations
- Act as a trusted advisor to retail partnersAlign category strategy with Brand and Marketing teams
- Manage priorities independently across both execution and planning cycles
What We're Looking For
- Proven Category Management experience (FMCG or liquor preferred)
- Strong commercial acumen with solid analytical capability
- Confident working with data and turning insights into action
- Ability to influence stakeholders both internally and externally
- Clear, pragmatic communication style with the ability to adapt
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
