About the Role
We are looking for a Business Development Manager to support growth across G+T’s Restructuring Advisory, Real Estate and Innovate practices, and contribute to the firm’s sector strategy.
This is a newly created and strategic role suited to someone who enjoys working across multiple priorities, collaborates confidently with senior stakeholders and can translate market insight into action.
Working closely with partners and colleagues across Marketing and Business Development, you will help strengthen client relationships, build market profile and identify new opportunities aligned to the firm’s strategic priorities.
Responsibilities
The Business Development Manager plays a key role in delivering growth across Restructuring Advisory, Real Estate and Innovate.
You will combine strategic planning with hands-on execution to support client development, sector initiatives and market positioning.
- Support the development and delivery of sector and practice growth strategies aligned with firm objectives
- Develop and manage business plans with clear goals and measurable outcomes
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity and client developments to inform priorities
- Provide data-driven insights on revenue, pipeline and client performance
- Drive client targeting initiatives and support partners to pursue high-value opportunities
- Develop and maintain account plans for priority clients
- Facilitate cross-practice collaboration to strengthen client relationships
- Translate client insights into practical business development initiatives
- Support significant pursuits, proposals and requests for proposal
- Prepare clear and compelling capability statements and client materials
- Coach partners and lawyers for client meetings and presentations
- Plan and deliver campaigns, thought leadership and client events
- Partner with Communications to strengthen market profile
- Act as a trusted adviser to partners and contribute to continuous improvement of business development processes
About You
You are a commercially focused business development professional who is comfortable working across multiple priorities. You build strong relationships, communicate clearly and focus on delivering outcomes.
You will have:
- Five plus years’ experience in business development, client management or marketing
- Experience in professional services, ideally within a legal or advisory environment
- Understanding of restructuring, real estate or adjacent sectors
- Experience delivering business development initiatives with measurable outcomes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Sound commercial judgement and confidence working with senior stakeholders
- A collaborative and adaptable approach
