Clow Valve - Metal Tech

Clow Valve's Metal Casting Facility has an opening for a 1st Shift Metal Tech. 

1st Shift Hours: 5am-3:30pm

Starting Rate: $24.90; Qualified Rate: $25.32

Health insurance available after 60 days

$500 sign on bonus after 120 day probationary period completed.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Running a lathe.
• Removing molten metal from holding furnace and ladle stream for testing
• Operation of melt lab equipment including Pneumatic Rammer, Green Strength, Methylene Blue clay content, Permeability, and Moisture analysis.
• General clean up of area.
• Use of basic hand tools.
• Have a strong analytical sense.

Qualifications include but are not limited to:

• Frequent lifting/carrying of up to 10 lbs, some lifting of up to 50 lbs.
• Bending/ twisting/ and standing for greater than 8 hours.
• Ability to read and write and understand training and instruction.
• Good Oral and Written Communication.
• Ability to work in extreme heat.
• Must be able to utilize and work around moving machinery.
• Must be able to utilize proper PPE including: respirator, metatarsal guarded boots, eye protection, hearing protection, apron, gloves and sleeves.
