About the job

In this role you are accountable for the end-to-end delivery of multi-site R&D and Industrialization projects such as studies, cost reduction initiatives, transfers and complex New Product Introductions (NPIs). You engage directly with multiple functions across Nexperia and regularly interfaces with senior management and executive-level stakeholders.

What you will do

Project Planning and Delivery

  • Define the overall project plan in consultation and agreement with all relevant management levels and stakeholders
  • Responsible for implementation and realization according to the project plan and within agreed boundaries (Specification, quality, timing, costs, information / reporting and organization)
  • Ensure that relevant quality standards for own projects are defined and met, monitor and control execution of own projects

Cross Functional Team Management

  • Define competencies and resources needed and build a high-performing project team. Take team leadership including operational guidance and conflict management

Risk and Issue Management

  • Analyze project risks regarding specifications, costs, timing, etc. and develop & incorporate scenarios to overcome these risks

Change Management

  • Manage all requested changes and execute change management process

Cost and Budget Management

  • Define project budget, ongoing cost control, and transparent financial tracking throughout the project

Reporting, Communication & Stakeholder Management

  • Transparent project reporting, including concise status updates and approval presentations for senior management, effective communication flows, and proactive stakeholder engagement

Continuous Improvement & Professional Development

  • Initiate and contribute to quality improvement activities related to business processes & procedures
  • Upgrade and adapt own competence, use cross organizational sharing and learning within the teams and the group of project leaders

What you will need

  • University degree in an engineering field, preferably in microelectronics or semiconductor physics
  • Minimum 5 years of proven track record in successful management and delivery of multiple concurrent high value, high impact projects (with project budgets exceeding >$1M)
  • Proven leadership qualities in leading project teams in an intercultural environment
  • A strong understanding of risk management, change management, resource planning and budget management including CAPEX and product cost control
  • PMI certification or similar is beneficial
  • Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing processes and packages is a plus
  • Experience of managing diverse, cross-functional project teams in a matrixed organization
  • A demonstrable ability to build, motivate, and sustain high-performing teams
  • Ability to work under pressure and to take initiative to find solutions for problems
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken) and strong communication skills in German
  • Good team player
