About the role
As a Principal Power Modules Quality Engineer (m/f/d), you will drive and design the quality management strategies, including the qualification approach and execution, for next-generation power module products on SiC and GaN technologies for industrial and automotive applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams across the entire product development lifecycle (development, manufacturing, quality, test, and applications). We are looking for a highly motivated electronics expert with engineering experience in the quality of Power Modules, for a talented and ambitious individual who is eager to grow into the organization in a fast-paced environment in which performance is never taken for granted.
This is your new job
- Represent the Quality Management for Power Modules within the development team
- Correlate the failure mechanisms on power modules, equipped with SiC and GaN, with reliability measures to be implemented into the product quality
- Responsible to define the qualification approach of product developments for power module products
- Responsible for implementation of quality procedures & quality standards (Nexperia, JEDEC, AEC-Q, AQG 324 and customer specific) in the projects
- Serve as the primary support to customers on SiC/GaN power module issues and complain handling. Lead customer requests using structured problem-solving methods. Prepare and deliver customer-facing quality reports and presentations
- Manage failure analysis requests, coordinate cross-functional teams (design, reliability, manufacturing, test), and communicate findings clearly
- Promote quality as value added to internal and external stakeholders
- Responsible to identify and address quality gaps in product creation process
- Define qualification requirements & support qualification of manufacturing processes
- Documentation and handling of data in analysis tools and evaluation wrt. Reliability, Yield, FMEA, Customer requests, etc
- Activities to identify root causes for yield loss or other production problems as well as the implementation of containment and corrective actions
- Responsible for creation of the initial input for PCNs, review and issue, and support follow up activities
This is you:
- PhD or master’s degree, preferably in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical discipline
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar position, experienced in power module technology and assembly processes preferred
- Knowledge in semiconductor physics as well as in semiconductor applications, preferably in the SiC / GaN domain
- Knowledge of international quality standards and policies e.g. AEC-Q101, AQG 324
- Familiar with measurement methods and equipment as well as device testing environments
- Familiar with standard software tools (e.g. Office), problem solving techniques
- High quality mindset
- Fluent spoken and written English skills
- Strong know how in statistical data analysis
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Good team player and willingness to travel
- Assertiveness and demonstrated influencing skills
- Ability to create a trusted network within the organization
- Experience in resolving conflicts and disagreements among others
- Open mindset, which welcomes changes and views problems as opportunities

Good to know:
You will have to travel EU, <15% of time. Catania a possible location, in this case a travel time of <30% should be considered.
