Farm Underwriter I (12-month contract)

What you will do... Assessment and evaluation of risks within the farm portfolio. Work within defined limits of authority, consistently provide high quality underwriting decisions that support the achievement of Heartland financial targets in accordance with the Operational Plan. Review and transact renewals, endorsements, and cancellations within our farm portfolio Provide support to Senior Farm Underwriters as needed in order to achieve service standards. Negotiation of contract terms. Proactively manage business development opportunities. Develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.    What you will bring... Strong decision making skills and ability to bring creativity to underwriting risks. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal. Post-Secondary education in a related field. 2-3 years underwriting experience. CIP designation or actively pursuing.   The salary range for this role is $50,000 - $75,000. The salary for the successful candidate will be determined by various factors including but not limited to an individual’s relevant experience, knowledge, skills, along with internal equity, and market considerations.
